House of Knowledge

A rebranding built on the principle of "isɔ na isɔ" pronounced as 'iso na iso' (a saying for 'we between us') in Lomongo, a Bantu language from Congo-Kinshasa, where I have my roots. This phrase captures the essence of House of Knowledge: a community for artists to connect, share, and grow together. In the Bantu culture, symbols were used for elements and words, which was the starting point for the icon. Inspired by the Bantu 'home' symbol and an H without being too literal, I gave life to their principle and vision. Empowering the next generation of performers artistically, mentally, physically and spiritually.

The icon animation is named Maison Mère, its movement is drawn from the sculpted walls of Hausa and Asante architecture. Maison Mère means motherhouse in French, the founding seat from which all branches take their shape. Knowledge works the same way. It is the foundation beneath familiarity, the root of particular skill and discipline, the quiet force that orients our actions before we are even aware of being guided.
